To survive austerity you’ll need to challenge your traditional thinking, apply what you already know in a different way and view your service through the eyes of others. You will need to pitch your service in a way you probably have not done before, through clear and succinct messages and also consider how you can best position yourself as one of the leaders in the New Public Sector.

The good news is that you should already have most of what you need at your finger tips. You should already have an idea of how to improve what you deliver and how you deliver it. That will make the rest easier. If you have not got those things – well, you are going to have to work a bit harder.

Throughout How to Survive Austerity are references to additional resources, articles and the experiences of others who have been on this journey – to help you on yours. These are attached below. Please feel free to share these with your colleagues and stakeholders.
